Glass has always fascinated people. Is it naturally occurring glass such as obsidian (ejected from volcanoes) or man-made glass whose beginnings are believed to be around 5000 BC in the Egyptian region. Already 600 B.C. one finds glass recipes on clay tablets in the empire of king Assurbanipal.
After the 13th century, the different refractive power of glass is then used for technical purposes.
Use glass (soda lime glass) is about 2.5 times heavier than water. Glass has a very high compressive strength.
Its refraction of light and its transparency are fascinating. So also the Borowski family. Their exhibits can be found in many international museums and galleries, but also in private collections.
